In the area I regularly travel - Northampton, Greenfield, Easthampton - I've been noticing for months how many police surveillance cams are watching us. They seem to be installed on the traffic light poles at most of the major and minor intersections. I've been told they are funded by Homeland Security and have face recognition technology. Have you seen them where you are? If not, look up, you will. Do we really need government surveillance watching us go about our normal activities?

You need to read George Orwell's epic, premonitory, and contemporary novel, 1984.
