Husband got a job in Hopkinton. I have a son in Kindergarten and cannot pay more than $400k for a house. What area should I look in that has good schools and is family friendly? Please help, I am so stressed out about this!

Start looking in Hopkinton, it's a nice town, very good schools.

Hopkinton, Holliston & Westboro are very good options. To get more for your money a little further away, Shrewsbury & Grafton is also nice choices. You can see a few of my photos of Holliston & Hopkinton at Scenes of Holliston Downtown - a set on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/21590926@N07/sets/72157623385271299/ - broken link). There are plenty of newcomers & moms groups so it's easy to get to know people through these and community events.

I grew up in Westboro but would not recommend it now and certainly not with a $400K budget.

I would look south of Hopkinton; consider Norfolk, Plainville and Wrentham.
