Don't know why The Great Migration was deleted. I thought there was some good conversation and ideas going on there.

I think another thing with people moving these days is 1,000 or so miles are not as far as they used to be. It is fairly easy to get decent flights anywhere and with the internet, research is almost unlimited. So for someone to move to a different region now isn't really a big deal. I think this trend will continue for quite some time. Families are being more spread out, different areas offer different services and jobs, and travel isn't a huge deal to most people.

There is always that grass is greener aspect also...sometimes it works out and is true, and other times people miss what they knew best and are used to, which is often where they grew up.

In my opinion I will say this I think you're right and it's a problem which I believe will get bigger.

shame as massachusetts was the first place I settled when I came to america before I moved south

I'm not going to say why I think it's become a state where some including I with my family don't want to live anymore

I would really like to know why the post was deleted! Smacks of censorship, doesn't it.
Perhaps someone was not too "moderate" in their replies?.....
