I’m trying to figure out where to find information about a few different towns in Massachusetts; information put out by the town.

It used to be the case where you could call the Chamber of Commerce and they’d send you out a Relocation Packet with a local events calendar, information on neighborhoods and schools etc., and if you were lucky a local newspaper. These days with the economy and everyone “going green,” this doesn’t seem to be popular.

However, I am not finding the information on the Chamber of Commerce websites or the town websites either (mostly it’s official town business there). Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I could find this information from one source these days?

It is very sad that relo packets have become a think of the past. But they were expensive to produce and took a lot of effort, and weren't worth the investment. City/Town websites have pretty much everything a relo packet would have and a googledotcom search of that particular city/town can get you a ton more information than a relo packet would.

You don't need a relocation packet because you have this forum.

City-Data has more stats on communities than you would ever need to know. Just click on a town and see:

Plus, you have input from our members who actually are familiar with these areas.
