What are some of the sought after locations for house buying in Natick? I have not looked into the town that much at all, and I could use some help. Are there some streets, county clubs, middle schools, proximity to another town, which are desirable? I have not decided on my budget yet.

Determining what and where has a lot to do with budget. So let me just tell you the UNdesirable part based on my own observation (I'm sure others may disagree, but again it's purely my observation)..... Immediately next to Framingham.... I mean the same street where Fram becomes Natick. Now, there is absolutely nothing unsafe about it, just that the Fram side is ugly and has lots of multi-family dwellings that aren't as pristine looking as the Natick part. Also, the people on the Fram side is more noisy (loud music, motorcycle, etc.)
Also, I wouldn't want to buy a house right on the most busy streets either, such as on Route 9, Speen, Oak, Hartford, etc. Some people don't mind living on these streets obviously, but I would hate the constant car noise.

There are many South Natick neighborhoods that are quite lovely, but like mmyk72 said, it really depends on what you're looking for & what kind of budget. Also, do you plan to take the train to Boston? That might be another factor that would help people share advice.

kmann, I am not planning to take the train to Boston, but proximity to amenities is important (restaurants, parks). This coming weekend I would like to drive through, to get familiarized with difference parts and neighborhoods of Natick. I will stay away from Framingham side. Are there any parts where gentrification is happening? Any scenic areas? Happening (restaurants) areas? Where is the more desirable middle school located? First I want to find a location, then I want to set my budget.

I like South Natick (I find it pretty) but it's suburban bordering on woodsy. There's not too much to do right in the area and it's a bit isolated (have to fight through traffic to get to major roads). Natick Center's not bad, it's like an old-fashioned town with older houses on tree-lined streets. Cochituate's more standard surburbia but has the lakes and easy Pike/shopping access.
I don't really think of "Natick" and "happening" in the same sentence, but it's a nice town.
