Hello all who read I want to thank all in advance for posting and thank this site as it is excellent. My situation is basically this, I recently found full-time employment in Chelsea near the Market Basket and need a place starting next month. I have been looking at Revere (going to see an apartment on crescent ave near Beachmont) and also Chelsea (on sixth street although it is somewhat close to Broadway which I heard to stay away from). I am 24, single, have to commute to work by car, and of Puerto Rican descent so I can speak near fluent Spanish if this helps. I am born and raised in New Hampshire (Rochester) and want something that is not totally crime-ridden but also with some big city flavor and diversity. I am looking to share an apartment and want to keep it under 600 if possible, I am also curious if anyone knows the deal for registering a car in Mass and if/when I would have to do it for insurance purposes. Any suggestions I would greatly appreciate as I really know basically nothing about this area, I would prefer a short commute> 30 mins. if possible. Thanks again for reading.

Somerville, Malden, Everett, Charlestown? My old stomping grounds but that was a long time ago. Maybe someone else can describe them better now. I think Charlestown has become very expensive.

Thanks Capecodcathy, I know its probably a redundant question and i appreciate your response I just am really clueless to the areas but I am young and will manage no matter where I go with few exceptions. Im thinking about Revere close to the beach near Beachmont. Either way I drove around today and liked the feel of the area in general just a question of where.

Beachmont is a good choice. Also Winthrop. Both areas have/had noise issues with Logan, though.

Thanks again, I checked out the place and I heard about 5 planes go by in 15 minutes which I hope I will get used to. I also think Winthrop is nice but seems like you have to go elsewhere to do anything, either way I think I will be staying in Revere.
