I might move there (considering it at the moment).
What is it like there? Is it quiet? Do many people live there? How is the environment there? Are there many trees and lakes? etc...
Thank you

It's very beautiful. Diverse. Public transportation. A lot of hip lounges, cafes, different types of ethnic restaurants like Indian , haitian, Chinese, Brazilian just to name a few. Some areas are pretty expensive but you can also find cheaper places too.

Well, it's a bit of a stretch to call Cambridge a "town." It is a large city, just across the river from Boston. It has a population of over 100,000 people with a density of 16,422 people per square mile. Although there are some residential neighborhoods that are fairly quiet, I wouldn't use that word to describe the city as a whole. There is one reservoir (Fresh Pond) in Cambridge. It is a lively, diverse, intellectual, and historic urban city.

I think your responses would be more helpful if we had a better idea of what you're looking for. My idea of "nice" may/may not be different from yours.

I personally like the characteristics of Cambridge, but if you're really looking for a "town" that's "quiet" with "many trees and lakes", then Cambridge may not be what you're looking for (although there is "Fresh Pond", as someone already mentioned).

Cambridge is very much a mini-version of Boston--in fact, colloquially speaking, they're considered one in the same. If you've been to Boston, and/or enjoy small to mid sized urban environments with racial, ethnic, socioeconomic diversity (with a fair amount of college-age students), you'll like Cambridge.

Cambridge is a city of about 100,000 people. Some neighborhoods have trees and there is a resevoir on the Cambridge/Belmont line that is always jammed with people walking, running, etc. (Fresh Pond). However, the way OP worded the post, it sounds like s/he is thinking that it is a nice New England town of some sort, which it is not- nice N.E. towns are miles away. Cambridge is quite urban, and a wonderful place to live, but quiet/affordable/trees/lakes it is not.

I'm not a fan myself. Central Square is pretty run down. Lots of... "characters" all over the city, you could say. No city of 100k people will be quiet. There are some nice parks, but aside from that its very urban.
