Ale there outdoor or cultural activities available?

The weather is the same as everywhere around here. Warm - sometimes hot and humid - in the summer, and pretty cold in the winter.

Framingham's a large, bustling suburban town, but large enough to include some woodsy areas. There's not a ton of "culture" in Framingham itself, to my knowledge, but there's a lot in Boston (which is not far) and other surrounding towns. It's not an isolated, culture-barren place.

In the area (within 30 minutes of Framingham) there are plenty of state parks, hiking, canoeing, etc. As you get farther away, there are beaches and skiing, more serious hiking.

I lived in Framingham for almost 20 years. It has some things to like and others not to. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, etc but the school system is a bit of a mess right now and public transportation options (i.e. a train into Boston) are limited. There are some really lovely neighborhoods in town and you can get a lot of house for your money in this town versus some other nearby towns but there's certainly a reason for that.
