My wife and I are in our late 60's. We've lived all over he place and are currently in a rural area of Vermont. We're considering a move to MA/NH/ME for a number of reasons I won't go into here.

We're thinking about the corridor from the North Shore of MA up through Portland ME. As it pertains to the North Shore of MA, what do y'all thing about Gloucester? Other places?

We would probably be looking at homes in the $500K range and would be open to condos, "over 55" communities, individual houses on small lots or other situations where there would not be a lot of yard work.

I appreciate any responses.

Gloucester is beautiful, in particular Magnolia and Annisquam villages. Really any of the coastal towns north of Lynn have something to offer. In Manchester, Rockport and Marblehead you will have to pay more, and less in Gloucester, Beverly or Salem. On the North Shore towns are pretty close together, and easily accessible, so you can really explore and enjoy all of them with all of your days off.

North Andover, Middleton, Ipswich and Rowley all have over 50 condo developments that would fit the bill.
