Hi all! I'll be moving up in January to the North Quincy/Dorchester area (maybe as far north as South Boston). I'll be working up in Danvers but my hours are slightly off which I hope helps. I will be driving and my hours are 11:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday. What can I expect for a commute? Is this an awful idea? What are the best routes?

Thanks!

Shouldn't be too bad with those hours. Head right up 93 to 95 north.

I agree with gf2020 on that one. The expressway around 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM North bound from Quincy can have some residual traffic as well as the HOV lane truck, but it moves shortly after that and you will get to Danvers with little trouble. Comming home, that expressway can be a bit stuffy for a while.

WBZ 1030 AM radio has traffic on the 3's, this means that 3 minuts past each hour, you get a great traffic update. As I travel alot through Boston, I have that on well before I am in it. It has saved me big time
