If that is the case, get them to watch Chronicle on channel 5 tonight at 7:30pm....it's all about Quincy!

Second that, also not too far away in E. Braintree/Weymouth Landing is El Sarape. Highly recommended!

Looking for a good neighborhood dive, the Alumni Cafe is good with good cheap barroom pizza.

For a more yuppie sports bar place, there is The Fours in Quincy Center.

There are too many local establishments to list, and I'm not sure what else is still there and what new has come along.

I also like Hancock Tavern in Wollaston for a local place.

For coffee try Coffee Break Cafe in Wollaston or Quincy Center.

Upscale dining, ALBA is the best. For something a little more casual and cheaper The Fat Cat is great, but there is usually a long wait. Bistro Chi/Kama Lounge just across the street from The Fat Cat is good for entertaining as well if you want chinese food. I also like Quincy Dynasty in North Quincy for the americanized stuff.

I realized I was wrong about La Paloma. It's closed on Mondays, not Sundays.

(I was there this weekend. Great as usual!)
