The whole time we were there the news was not depressing like it here. Since Sunday there have been over 3 triple homicides on the news plus some crazy woman yesterday went to her Dr's and held everyone hostage!!!!!!!!! And what about MA love for there home teams?????? Unbelievable!!!!!!! Yes i could go on and on about the many reasons I fell in love with this state

That is great TX...there are so many places in MA to see, each one unique in their own way. I am in Quincy which is a city but it is like small towns within a city. I love it.

Let us all know when you are coming back and we can give you more places to visit.

As far as the pics, I feel the same way about ALaska when we visited. When I look at pictures where we went I can smell the air again and hear the sounds around me. The crunching of the glaciers underfoot.
You know you had an incredible trip when you get that.

You also picked the perfect time of year to come to MA.

So glad you had a great time.

Have a great day!

Way to go! I'm glad you had a little "home". I know what you mean about the houses. They look like homes! A place you could own for the rest of your life. No stucco, wonderful colors. Glad you had a good time!

It's nice to hear something about Mass. other than over-fear of winter and expense! I drove home from work with a new eye at the trees, the historic houses in Concord, and the sign for "Walden Pond" that I pass twice a day. So glad you liked it here.

Oh the fear of winter i wished we had that here!!!! It is more like a fear of summer back here!!! Luckily you have the feeling of fall already and we are still having our spring like weather here well a little break today we are in the 60's but back to mid 80's the rest of the week!!! When we were up in MA i kept telling my husband as we were driving in the mornings " These people are so lucky to get to drive to work each morning and evening and have this type of view and scenery" You all have in my eyes a story book place to call home!!!

You are so right txbaker27. As I said in your other post, living here is a gift that I totally appreciate after living in California, especially Central California. I'm surprised I haven't had an accident yet from enjoying the scenery so much. And the people.....never in my life have I met warmer and friendlier and sincere people as there are here. Maybe we have just been lucky, but we have never had a negative experience in Ma. and whenever we go out to eat it is always a joy to chat with the waiters and waitresses. Always go out of their way to help you find great spots and so genuinely nice. I held the door open for about four people the other day at a restaurant in Bedford and every single person thanked me. Never happened in L.A. So happy to be back!!

Grass is always greener on the other side.

My friends at MIT (looking from Cambridge to Boston) told me one day that "I'm so lucky, Boston is so much more beautiful than Cambridge." My thought were.... What the heck were they talking about? There's no way Boston could look better than Cambridge. Then I realized Boston did look great from afar. They did not see the big rats and dirty street along the Charles on the Boston side... just like I did not see broken bricks and abandon buildings in Cambridge.

The frame of mind is important.

We did not get to travel that much through the Boston area but from what we saw the downtown part was amazingly beautiful very different from what we are used to in DFW There was just a unique old charm to every area that we got to see and I wish I could re-live it everyday!!!!!!!
