Anyone have any words of wisdom for homeowner's insurance in the south shore (looking to buy a home in Weymouth)- about 1-2 miles from the coast. A company named Narraganset Bay Insurance & State Fund have given me quotes but I cant find any objective reviews online...any insight or words of wisdom
We switched all our insurance to Geico, who signed us up with Narraganset for our homeowners policy. They offered us a much less expensive policy than we had before we switched. No troubles so far... but we have never made a claim with any policy. We are in Hull a couple blocks back from ocean, but well above flood zone.
There's a new player in town called United Property and Casualty Insurance Company (UPC) from Florida. Great rates and low deductibles. Good especially for the cape area where premiums are especially high and some insurance companies don't even want to cover.
