Infox,
I guarantee that more Durfee or New Bedford kids graduate from college than kids in lakeville............The numbers alone make the argument.

Oh, you're right, to hell with the stats! I'll just take your word for it, random guy on the internet.

If the numbers really do support what you're saying, could you kindly provide a source or link so we can see for ourselves? Because all I have seen are reviews and statistics that show Durfee (and New Bedford) public schools, particularly the high schools, to be significantly inferior to neighboring communities. A little data on your part would go a long way toward supporting your case.

Here are the U.S. News profiles on Apponequet (Freetown-Lakeville), Durfee (Fall River) and New Bedford High School. Clink the link for details.

Apponquet

Durfee

New Bedford

Lots of information there. For starters, Apponquet Students are much more proficient in Math and English than Durfee or New Bedford students. According to the U.S. News college readiness index, Apponquet Students are far better prepared for college than Durfee or New Bedford students.

Here's a side by side comparison of Durfee and Apponequet from the Mass. Department of Education. Again, Apponequet is clearly head and shoulders above Durfee when it comes to academic performance.
