Santarpio's new location in Peabody finally cuts the mustard. For a long time it
stunk. Regina's if you like the cholesterol level with extra cheese.
For Sicilian Esposito's in Revere. Excellent.

I forgot Romano's in Marblehead and Cindy's in Swampscott. Both thin crust with good tomato flavor.

Surprised these have not been mentioned. Santarpios is probably my favorite traditional pizza, but these are great too:

Pinocchio's in Harvard Square - Sicilian
Otto in Harvard Square - Yuppie/Gourmet
Posto in Davis Square - Nepolitan/Gourmet

Right there with you! Although I used to appreciate their cheap lunch buffet (even though the breadsticks were the best thing there). Personally I would rather see Dominos and PapaJohns hit the road, but all in all calling any 3 of those "pizza" is a sin against gastronomy.

Default best in Metrowest...

Gianni's Pizza. Framingham. Cash only. They may not act like your best friend...but frankly, they make such great pizza that anything else is irrelevant.

FYI...again, cash only!

When I lived in Framingham I was always a big supporter of Centre Pizza. I understand they've now moved ironically out of Framingham Centre.

Also a small local favorite::: Joe's in Beverly on Rantoul Street. Began as Victory Restaurant back in the 30's. Morphed
into a wonderful unusual thin crust pizza. Best with salami.

It's about a notch above Papa Gino's. Good place to order from if you're having a kid's party and need to order several pizzas.
There's also one in Natick and one in West Newton. I tried their pizza for the first time a few weeks ago and thought something was missing. The crust was also too chewy for me. I actually prefer Papa Gino's over Comella's. But my little girls loved it so you have a point there - it's great for parties where you need to order a bunch of pizzas.

I think they're up to something like 10 locations. They've been around for years but suddenly have started opening new locations like crazy over the last couple of years. There's actually one two doors down from my office so I get dinner for my family there often. The Needham location was actually the first one to have pizza. The restaurant in general has good food and is a fantastic value. The cheese pizza is just OK but for $5 it's hard to beat. Try the shrimp scampi pizza (cute Kate I think it's called). It's awesome if you love garlic and oil and shrimp.
