Hey All! The hubster has a possible job in Worcester and I am trying to figure out where to live. My kids are 10, 12, 14 and I am looking for great public schools. He is open to commute - hopefully not much more than 30 minutes. Housing budget 600k tops. Thoughts on where to start? Thanks!

Shrewsbury. The end.

You could look in Holden, but the schools aren't as good as Shrewsbury's.

I would look at Harvard, MA. High school is like a prep school, countryside is gorgeous!

You have a lot to pick from. Bolton, Northborough and Westborough are all good family towns near Worcester. You will get more house in Bolton.

I think they will be limited at $600,000 in Harvard.

I agree with this.

If you want more of a country feel, then Grafton.

Shrewsbury or Westborough are your best bets for schools and family friendly neighborhoods.

Thanks. I will look into both of those. Very concerned about making a move here from Georgia.

Westborough is politically moderate. Many transplants live there.

Bolton is very conservative for Massachusetts.

Harvard is more liberal.
