My wife and I have recently relocated to Massachusetts, and are currently renting until we find a place to buy. We are having some difficulty figuring out what towns would be right for us. My wife works in Andover, and I work in Bedford so we would prefer to be somewhat central, but if needed, a shorter commute to Andover with a max commute of 30-40 minutes to Bedford. Also, we have a 2 year old daughter, so are definitely interested in the quality of the schools.

I would recommend Reading to you. It has easy commute to Andover and fairly easy commute to Bedford. Family oriented and good schools. Lots of good shopping too. If you would prefer quieter, more rural atmosphere without many sidewalks then North Reading is good match as well. Good luck!!

Andover has a very good school system. Chelmsford is not bad either, same goes for Reading but I prefer Chelmsford over Reading for the commute. Rt.3/495 over the 93/95 commute.

Andover is a vibrant, charming town. I hear good things about Middleton and North Andover also.
