1300 sq ft Townhouse with 3 floors plus a full basement,, I like to be able to tan in my place and usually set my thermostat no lower than 70 during the day and around 66 over night. Highest bill I've had is about 120.00. The last house I owned had oil heat and there is no way I would ever own a house I reside in with oil heat again. Close to triple the cost of gas. I'd rather take my chances of blowing the place off the foundation. lol

I live in a condo about 800 sq feet. I use gas for my heat and water heater. My highest gas bill was $30 during a cold bitter month. I keep the thermostat around 70-72.

My lowest bill was just this past month...$16.

I live alone, maybe 1 shower per day and live on the 3rd floor with only 1 wall facing the exterior.

My utlities closet outdoors that my water heater and HVAC unit reside in has an electric heater in it. In the dead of winter it would keep the pipes from freezing. I no longer use it as I added an extension on the HVAC to blow heat into the closet whenever the heat in my home was on. This method has proven to be MUCH cheaper than using the electric heater.
