I've been reading on here about all the great Worcester restaurants, and in the past month since I've moved here, I've experienced a few. But I want more! And I want the best of the best!

So do tell, restaurant-wise, what are the best kept secrets of Worcester and what are the places the whole city can't get enough of?

Tell me the name, location, why its so good, and the type of cuisine please, so I can go check them out. Thanks!

For Tappas I LOVE Bocado. It is on 122 (not sure if it is considered Grafton Hill). You can probably get good directions from them!

For Indian - we love Surya on Shrewsbury Street

We went to Baba recently for sushi and it was fabulous - need a reservation

For Seafood - Sole Proprieter is great - need a reservation

For Steak - 111 Chophouse is excellent

Of course, there are so many fabulous restaurants in Worcester so I look forward to hearing everyone else's tips!

Chiodas at the top of Franklin St is a very good, small Italian restaurant.

Far from gourmet, but a Worcester institution, is Coney Island Hot Dogs on Southbridge Street. You have to get a dog and try their meat sauce! Along the same lines, Weintraub's on Water Street has the BEST deli corned beef and pastrami in the city. They cook it there and it is lean, tender, and tasty!
