Does anyone know of any parking lots for daily parking? The lot that abuts the tracks on the north side was full this morning when I got there at 9AM. Do I have any other options (preferably north of the tracks since that's the direction I'm coming from)?

Probably your best bet is continuing on into Natick. The West Natick station has a decent size lot and isn't too far from the Framingham station.

Funny you mention that Mike. I drove to West Natick after that and it was also full. So I continued onto Wellesley and found a spot.

I've been driving from Sudbury to Framingham back to Sudbury then to Lincoln and taking the train from there every morning and realized my total commute was 2 hours every morning including kid dropoff. Switching the order of my kid dropoff can shave 15 min off my commute if I can take the train from Framingham or West Natick, but parking is a problem at those 2 stations for post-rush hour commuters.

The West Natick lot is not massive but certainly bigger than the Framingham parking area. What if you just went directly to Lincoln or Wellesley? Would that save time over hoping that you'll find a space in Framingham or West Natick?

Two ideas:

Parsec, Ashland station has a nice large lot, bigger than either Framingham or Natick. Could you backroad it from the Framingham daycare drop?

Have you tried West Concord in place of Lincoln? I think this would be easier to get to from North Sudbury than Lincoln. This is the train stop I use when going downtown from Acton. It is a huge lot. I always find a spot there.

Thanks for the ideas all. I think I'm going to try driving straight to Wellesley or Wellesley Farms after my dropoff because I'm tied to the commuter rail schedule. The last Ashland train departs at 9AM so I won't make it there in time unless I can drive 9 miles in 10 minutes lol.

495neighbor: I prefer the Worcester line over the Fitchburg line because it goes into South Station (I know I can also get off at Porter on the Fitchburg line but the T is too unreliable in the PM to make the transfer on time so I have to do the 20 minute walk to make sure I don't get stranded in Boston). Worcester line also has a lot more trains so it runs more frequently.
