I have a job opportunity in Medfield, MA. I am looking to spend 300k or less on a house. I would love for the commute to be less than 45 minutes. The important factors for me would be low housing costs, low crime, and not being a big city. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Medway or Millis. How big a house would you need?

Preferebly a 3 BD and two stories.

Pluses would be master bath, farmers porch, 2-car garage. Not required obviously.

I will check out those two towns. Thanks!

I would strongly recommend you make at least a 1 car garage a requirement. Homes around here are very difficult to re-sell if they don't have a garage compared to those that do.

Walpole is bordering Medfield and is certainly NOT a city. I grew up there years ago but go back often. You might find something there in your price range. Norfork is another town close by even smaller.
