Hi - my husband & I are interested in the east coast for retirement. I want to be somewhere where there is low humidity. We have lived in Ga. & southwest Va. - both are too humid for me. My husbands only requirement is to be close enough for some good fly fishing. We would prefer somewhere in PA. or more north. We have been told Mass. is a great place to live - any suggestions that would help us both??

We moved up here in the spring from Maryland, a very humid and muggy state. It still gets humid here, but nothing like VA or MD and for the most part, summers are cooler, so the humidity isn't as bothersome.

Those are requirements that conflict with each other. Every place on the east coast has humid weather.

However, the further north you go and the higher in altitude you go the less impact humidity has because of generally cooler air.

Those criteria lead you, in the end, to places with long winters and you will have to balance that with your other preferences.
