We are moving to Westwood. I could find little information on it. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or concerns about the town? We have a toddler and the schools look decent.

Thanks very much!

It's a lovely town with very good schools. Was there something specifically that you wanted to know about it? Also, I'm surprised if you don't know anything about the town that you would commit to move there.

The negatives of Westwood as I see them are:
  • No town center
  • Limited shopping/restaurants in town
  • Both train stations are located on the same side of town
  • Most people from Westwood drive I93 North into Boston which is hellish
Overall, I think it's a nice town.

An awesome town and a great place to live. Rte 109 that goes thru the town can be hard on traffic. East bound in the morning and west bound in the evening. Good choice of places to live

It does have something of an isolated feel to it, even though it is only about 15 miles from Boston and surrounded by busier towns.

Westwood is a great town, great schools, nice homes, now has a convenient shopping disctrict called University ave where the amtrak staion is. Also restaurants. Getting better everyday.
