Hello

We are relocating for a job in southern NH. Good public schools are top priority. Can anyone give insight into Topsfield and Middleton? What are the tax considerations for living in MA and working in NH?

Thank you

You will pay MA income tax (5.2% as of 2014) if you live in MA and work in NH. I would not want to live in MA while working in NH, though I know a few people that do.

Thank you. Even though, on paper, public schools seem to be better?

IMO, that varies from town to town in both states. If you do your homework, no reason you can't find a town with good schools in southern NH. I'm not all that up on which are best, but there are some knowledgeable people on the NH forum.
