I told my daughter I'd ask here if anyone can recommend a mattress store that sells inexpensive mattress sets and will deliver. She'll be in Medford across the Mystic River. No access to a vehicle. She would buy a used set, but there's always the issue of bed bugs if you don't know who you're buying from. Of course, she just might do it, anyway. She's going to be the one living there and spending her own money.

What's inexpensive to you? The range of mattress prices can go from under $500 to $3,000.

There's a Sleepy's in Medford. Yelp reviews: Sleepy's Medford - Medford, MA | Yelp

BTW, it's illegal to sell used mattresses in Massachusetts (unless it's been sanitized, which is unlikely). You can still buy them on Craigslist and such, but for hygiene reasons I'd avoid that!

Bedworks in Central Square, Cambridge is great. They charge for delivery and assembly, but it's not too expensive and is worth it. I don't know if they'd qualify as inexpensive, but I found their prices to be reasonable, the quality excellent and the service and knowledge of the staff to be top-notch.

Siesta Sleepworks in Acton has excellent prices. You would have to call to find out delivery options to Medford. One thing I like, they often have mattresses locally made right here in Massachusetts.

Could it be you are not pronouncing it Med-ffa so they think you are talking about Beford NH and they want a delivery charge?

Arrow Recommend reasonably priced mattress stores/outlets close to Medford?

I don't see my previous question for some reason.
Can anyone recommend some low cost mattress stores or outlets within delivery distance to Medford?

Thanks!

Inexpensive for a new full mattress and foundation would be around $300+. This is what she paid for a decent mattress set from a warehouse in San Luis Obispo for undergrad off-campus living. She used it 2 years. Still like new, but had to sell it. Can't it bring it with her to Medford. (Med-ffa)

No, its not going to be high end, nor does she probably need it longer that for a 2.5 years unless she stays in the area after grad school. Just something comfortable and clean.

I saw there was a Medford Mattress Outlet when Googling online. Not sure if it's still in business.

She'll figure it out when she gets there, but it would be nice to see what's available.

Thanks for your help!
