For who and what?

I would, for me, say Portsmouth, Gloucester, Newburyport, Rockport, Plymouth than Marblhead, then Hingham (if you want to throw Marlbehead in there for some reason)... in that order

For overall quality of life, including being scenic, closeness to amenities, safety/crime, friendliness of people. I agree Marblehead should be in the mix too.

20-somthing year old singles? 30-somethings with kids? 50-something empty-nesters?


This sort of question really comes down to personal preference for various reasons. Everyone is going to have a different opinion
