My family is moving to MA in June. We visited in September and fell in love with Marblehead. I'm wondering what neighborhood to live in? Do residents prefer living near Swampscott, closer to the train station? Do residents prefer living closer to the historic area of town? Or do they like living on the side facing Salem? I'm sure there are more neighborhoods, these are just the three areas that I saw while visiting. I also saw the neck, but that area is out of our price range. We have 2 children. I noticed there are 3 elementary schools,
K-3. I'm wondering, is there an elementary school parents prefer? Any other information you would like to share about Marblehead would be greatly appreciated.

All schools in Marblehead are fantastic! We lived off of Jersey Street and our son attended Village. This is such a great community and I'm sure you'll love it! There's always some kind of community celebration going. The only thing I would be mindful of is parking. During the winter there's no off street parking and if you don't have enough parking spaces at your home you'll have to park in the Roundhouse Road parking lot. If you live close by it's not that bad. Also know that children either walk or get dropped off at school. Think about this when purchasing a home because it can be convenient if your child walks or it may be a headache if you don't like a stream of cars in front of your house during the beginning/end of school. Good luck and pm me if you have any questions!
