Yep, I was the only one of the regular staff who didn't call out today. Someone needed to be here anyway since I work at a 24 hour program. Someone already called out for the overnight shift so looks like I'll be working at least another 14 hours or so.

Fortunately, I didn't think it was too, too bad out. Certainly not the worst we've had this year. But really it needs to end!

I'd imagine not haha. I have an indoor job technically, but that's not accurate for this kind of weather. I spent my first hour at work digging a parking space for my self. I'll probably spend a good chunk of time shoveling out. Between that I have to shovel the property I work at and make sure it stays as clear as I can get it. Yeah not fun at all

It was a Sunday. I wouldn't have minded working 7 hours in a Bobcat to make some extra dough on the side. Of course I'd need to learn how to use one first, haha. I paid $125/hr for Bobcat services to remove some snow after I ran out of space next to my driveway. You guys make good money!

Today was President's Day off for me, but I'm debating whether to go in tomorrow. I can theoretically work from home, but I'm really afraid of driving because of the huge snowbanks blocking my view to turn - and how long can I wait for those to go away?

Have to get from Medford to Waltham and debating to go all highway which is twice as long or try to cut through Somerville to Rt 2, which isn't likely to be as clean. Ugh.

I was working today, but I took the day off Sunday. I was showing condos to a buyer in downtown Boston. It wasn't so bad out there. The worst part was when I was driving down Tremont St next to the Common and there was a giant snowblower shooting snow into a convoy of trucks. Basically, it turned Tremont into a one lane street.

My son is in the disaster restoration business. Moat of his business comes from insurance companies as the result of a damage claim. He said Liberty Mutual has so many claims (all work for him) that they had to bring in appraisers from as far away as SC.

He expects to be crushed with business for the next few months.
