True, however the OP didn't state which dealership they went to though so we don't know the details of th vehicles actual entertainment system

The point is that we don't know who is responsible. The salesperson, someone else at the dealership, any one of a number of people outside the dealership, etc.

I’m not sure what I would do. If I were so inclined I think I may go in and talk to the sales guy face to face. Whatever his reaction (hopefully, it’s an appropriate one), I would then speak with the head honcho at the dealership itself, and whatever his reaction, I would inform him that I was going to alert corporate about it. I’d then move on.

Agreed, I said earlier it would be tough to prove. But some systems store device information and would allow you to do more investigation, some even use a voice recording to name the device you are pairing etc. Some systems won't provide any info. If it could be traced to someone at the dealership I think the case for going after them is solidified a bit.
