The jury just found him guilty on all 30 counts.

He probably wishes he died with his brother. Sucks to suck.

I hope this verdict brings some sense of healing and justice to the people of Boston, although nothing will ever compensate for the lives lost and the innocent victims maimed.

And now it is up to the jury to decide how this piece of garbage will die: (relatively) quickly by lethal injection, or slowly by going out of his mind sitting in his tiny cell at Supermax in Florence, CO, 23 hours a day for the next 50 years or so of his miserable life.

A guilty verdict was a certain what wasn't was if his crimes were going to trigger the death penalty.

The vindictive side of me says death. Don't tell him when or where but let him know there will be a bomb involved when he least expects it. let his legs be blown to bits and let him slowly die as he bleeds out.

My more kindly side says kill him so the tax payers don't have to spend money over the next decade or 2 or 3 warehousing him and having to see his mug on the news every time there is an appeal to his death penalty.

This guy is a sick animal who checked himself out of the human race so simply put him and us out of our miseries.

The problem with our death penalty is that he could spend the next fifteen years on death row eating cheesecake and using up scarce medical resources whenever he gets a migraine.
Give him life without parole, place him in the general population, and the brothers will put him out of his misery at no charge to the taxpayers.

The death row and the appeal process are self inflicted problems that our whiny society put in place to appease itself of misplaced guilt. To use that as an argument against the death penalty is ridiculous. He should simply be shot and we can all move on. No appeal, no worries. Closure for society.

Sticking him in a forever warehouses is not closure. It's cowardice and it's wasteful.

About that endless appeal process for the death sentence: I hear you. It wasn't always like this. By way of historical comparison, on February 15, 1933, a gunman shot at FDR and the mayor of Chicago, Anton Cermak, when both were in Miami. Cermak was hit and died on March 6. The gunman went to the electric chair on March 20.

From commission of the crime to execution in the electric chair: just 33 days.
