I need to ship a car from Palm Beach County, Florida to either New Hampshire or Northern Massachusetts, just wondering if anyone has a recommendation? I don't need door-to-door service on either end, but rather looking for a good deal.

Use a service that submits bids to multiple brokers. I was flexible with my shipping dates and had over a dozen bids to choose from. For me prices ranged from $260 to over $700 (not from FL), so it pays to shop around. If you can wait, you'll likely find a great deal on the last spot on a truck about to travel your route. Your rate will be half the price of the first car put on that truck because at that point the truck driver is just looking to fill his truck and hit the road. You won't be able to access that low rate unless you use a broker since they have access to the load board that transport companies use to find business.

A service like that sounds great! I'll look up to see if I can find some brokers on the Internet. What brokerage company did you end up using?

Excellent Auto Transport - 5 Stars out of 5 - Transport Reviews.com - Your Auto Transport Information Source. View Reviews, Ratings and Rankings of Auto Transporters.

Ask for Bernie or get an online quote from their website. They are not based on the East Coast, but that doesn't matter because they are just a broker. The transport company they found me was actually based in MA.

Excellen Auto contacted me after I entered my information on a website that sends my info to many different brokers, but I can't seem to find that site anymore. It was a bit of a pain, as I got blasted with about 20 phone calls within the next 24 hours. It's worth it if you are trying to find the lowest price though.
