My husband and I are looking to move from central mass to the Berkshires. We have a son with high functioning autism who will be starting preschool in the fall. He will be enrolled in the town's public preschool. I have read previous posts regarding moving to the Berkshires, however, most are a few years old. My husband will most likely be working in Pittsfield. Our criteria is quite typical; good schools for kids with high functioning autism and that will support his IEP, safe neighborhood, and a half hour to 45 min commute to Pittsfield. We are not opposed to actually living in Pittsfield if the neighborhood is nice and the schools can support our son. Now for the budget...$200k max. I know it's tight, but we've already had the big house with everything renovated. This time around we want simple. We aren't trying to keep up with the Jones's. Also, are there any companies offering home based ABA services in that area?
