Does anyone know how early to get to the train station to get a parking spot and seat? Should I buy train tickets in advance?

Thank you

Parking really shouldn't be an issue at either station at all. Both stations are designed to accommodate multiple trainloads of commuters during a workday. The Patriots trains run for the rest of the season on Sunday (or the one Monday night game left against the Bills which is late enough that the parking lot will have largely cleared out) which is way off peak. Futhermore, Most Patriots Train riders board the train at stations further away from Gillette. I wouldn't even be a little concerned about parking at either station.

Honestly, you could get there 5 minutes before the train is scheduled to arrive and be just fine (the Patriots trains are often late anyway).

I've done the train once and it was pretty full. You'll probably have trouble getting seats unless you get on at one of the first stops. By the time you hit Attleboro and Mansfield, most people will already be on the train. I think tickets are $15 regardless of where you get on, so you can buy them in advance if you're certain you're doing the train. The app on your phone is a pretty easy way to do it.

The MBTA Patriots train that stops in Attleboro and Mansfield originates at TF Green Airport in Warwick, RI. It then stops in downtown Providence and South Attleboro (at the Pawtucket line) before it gets to downtown Attleboro and Mansfield.

I usually take the train from the Attleboro stop and have no problem getting a seat. Parking isn't an issue either. After the game I take 95 south to 295 west then 146 back to Leominster. Never had any issue with traffic.

Thanks! We arrived early and had our choice of over 800 parking spots! But the time the train arrived, there were only about 20 people on the platform.

Nice way of getting to Gillette without the hassle. IrFox is right, 5 minutes prior is plenty of time!
