I was trying to figure out how Douglas fit in with Webster and Southbridge.

It doesn't. I find these types of threads nauseating. Live where you are comfortable and happy.

Leominster - well, maybe not an easy commute, but they have just updated the railroad station/parking. It does have a lot of greenspace, and places like Parmeter road (cross country, biking, hiking), Leominster state forest, sportsmen's club, Sholan farms apple orchard...and it has some cool shops like Alan's dept store (an old timey independent department store....who has one of them any more?), MAKE - the community arts/craft store in town, and a decent mall with Macy's and Penneys. AND....I love this...it has MART - community busses. If you have 2 working parents, it is REALLY NICE to have a bus system in town!
