Here in western Massachusetts the real estate market has heated up, also. Homes that are priced attractively and marketed well are selling very quickly and often in multiple bid situations.

Of course, there are strategies that can help buyers to succeed in winning the house of their dreams. It all starts with having experienced professionals working by your side.

To be honest, I refuse to do business with ANYONE that telemarkets me. I'm on the (pretty useless) Do Not Call list. So if you call me, I won't touch you with a 10 ft. pole.

My only phone is my cell phone, and as personal policy, I do not answer numbers I don't know. I let it go to VM.

If the VM is some sort of telemarketing, of if I google the number and see it's a telemarketing number, I block it on the iphone. I maybe get 1 TM call every 2 months now.

Wow, lucky you. I also block those callers on my cell, but they're constantly calling from new numbers. They seem to run in cycles, but I get about 4-5 a week. 😡

I do the same thing. 800notes is a great website. But blocking the numbers on my cell only alleviates a tiny percentage of the spam calls.

If I know who is calling (as many will change numbers, but they'll call in spurts), I'll pick it up or have my son pick it up and either just say random words to the caller, or ask nonsense questions. Or if it's some cause -- I have a lot of the bogus police retirement funds call me, I ask them when they plan to stop murdering black people and dogs. That shuts them up pretty quick and they don't call back for a while.

If I do not recognize the number I answer with a simple Hello. If i recognize the answer I answer with "This is John".

I find the least frustrating thing to do with annoyance calls is to just hangup/disconnect rather than take my time to play with the idiots.

I did get one of those help Grandpa, I am stranded. The first sign was my grand kids call me PaPa John. While I weas fairly certain it was a scam call, I did ask what is your Mother's name. They hung up.
