Barring some big capitalist deus ex machina (like maybe Tree House could set up a plant there in preparation for regional distribution?), a renaissance in Springfield, Worcester, or both could spur one in Southbridge. As long as the two larger cities are struggling, the prospects for the smaller one will remain grim.

There is a reason Tree House built their massive new site at the current location off Rte. 20 in Charlton, and not a place like Southbridge.

Worcester is/has been growing at a moderate pace for some time now, but Southbridge is just too disconnected from there (Springfield is even further). Even if Worcester "booms" some day, there are dozens of other towns (Oxford, Leicester, Webster, even Spencer...) that will catch that rising tide before Southbridge.

Thanks - yeah, that Grackle is pretty focused; to me he looks like he's checking out the surf... on the other hand, I don't see a little board with him

A few photos of Amesbury. Lighting was a little weird with a few of these, but I never claimed to be a professional.
