Small businesses are priced out of Wayland Center shopping plaza. High rents is one of the biggest complaints of the new plaza. Local businesses can't afford to move in; it's almost all franchises.

Hi, I'm a Chinese. Acton is your best bet. Since your budget is $650K, why are you looking at Acton's $550K? With $650K, you can get a very nice property in Acton. Or perhaps you're trying to keep your property taxes below $10K per year by looking at $550K in Acton?

If you can up your budget to $750K, that will open up A LOT more towns. Lexington, Winchester, for instance.

Wayland, while a nice town (I've looked at several properties there when house hunting) is more expensive than Acton.

Quincy and Braintree, perhaps....

Maybe Southborough? I met a young Asian American couple who seemed to really like that town.
