Can someone tell me where to find the best meat near Yarmouth, MA? We have Stop n Shop here in NY, and I'm not a fan. I tend to prefer buying my meat at smaller markets, with better cuts of beef.

TIA

I can only think of Ferettis in Brewster on the corner of Rt137 and Underpass road.
They might have what you are looking for.

Thanks - always best to ask the locals! I likely would've never know of this place, otherwise. Just read some reviews, and it sounds like it will be just as good as a grocer we found in Portsmouth, RI a few summers ago (Clements Marketplace)...I still dream of their rib eyes, best I ever had!

From what I'm reading, it sounds like they have seafood too?

I rented a place at Ocean's Edge a few years back and Feretti's was right down the street. It's a great little market and the meat was very good.

Pocasset Country Market is pretty good too, but it's not all that close to Yarmouth.

Thanks also for the recommendation for Pocasset Country Market...definitely a consideration on a day we visit Old Silver Beach!

We only buy meat from the Barnstable Market. They are part of a 2 store chain called Smithfield's Market. Peterson's is the other and is located in Yarmouth Port. The quality is much better at those markets than the Pocasset Country Market. Neil the butcher left PCM and is now down at Gray Gables- down the road. They are pretty good but not as good as Smithfield's.

If you are going to be in the Bourne area going to Old Silver, I suggest you stop in The Lobster Trap in Monument Beach for fresh seafood. They supply many of the markets on and off Cape.
