Could not, say, have a local day picnic in the community with food and children games, to support the Children museum.

For decades and up to last decade, Easton frequently listed in those 'Best places to Live in the country' lists. The place no longer makes those lists. Now its Booze funding, booze candy shops. Pots shops seem to be coming now.

Is Easton the "new Brockton"?

Adults, Booze drinking, in a Children Museum.

Now ask, where do these health issues come from in Mass. ?
"MA has highest rates of underage drinking" - Boston Herald
"These are America's drunkest states,, 1 in 5 adults living in Massachusetts drink excessively"- USA Today
"Massachusetts is among worst states for drunken driving fatalities Oct 25, 2019--" Boston Business Journal

Mass residents are concerned about global warming harming people's health,Plastic bags, plastic straws, chemicals in food, but good god in Massachusetts, one dares criticize the health issues of drugs, pot, or booze in Mass.

You can cherry-pick articles to satisfy your narrative, but unfortunately, the data continues to dispute it. Massachusetts is middle of road in terms of alcohol consumption nationally and consumes far less than most western nations. Additionally, strict alcohol laws and enforcement have greatly reduced public consumption. Are there addicts for whom it's wildly destructive Yes, but they are thankfully a minority in modern society.

Your perspective aside, don't you think it's slightly deranged to interpret those events in Easton as a terrible decline for the town? You're, at the most basic level, claiming that adults fund raising for a children's museum is bad for the town. Or that leveraging distilled liquors for culinary purposes, a practice dating to B.C. times, is the great indicator that Eaton is crumbling. It's just not stable logic.

Never heard beer be called booze before, never mind beer batter. Interesting types on this forum; a special type of conservative.

"Conservative" is a generous label. Zealot might be more appropriate.

May I suggest you move to the Phillipines? You'd just love Duterte.
For those of us who live in SE Asia, we know that the Philipines is the Brockon of Asia. And their influence is affecting Malaysia and Indonesia
