Oh, boy - that's dangerous, no matter how you do it. If the rule is (and it IS) that the person going right or forward goes first, and YOU go first with a left, you could get smacked right into by the one going forward, assuming that person is following the law.

I almost did that last night - I'm going straight ahead, and these people just kept taking lefts before I went through. I almost hit a bus.

There are many dangerous driving "habits" in Massachusetts - tailgating, taking a left before you're supposed to, being on phones, etc.

I can't wait until the cell phone law goes through. Should help somewhat, even though they can do "hands-free" - they're still going to be distracted. I've almost been hit a few times by these jerks when I'm walking.

It isn't only cell phones, I've seen people read newspapers, use their computer, put on make-up, etc. The fact that people are being irresponsible when they drive is the problem. Like you said, they are still going to be distracted or find something to be distracted. People sitting in passenger seat are actually considered to be the most distracting thing while driving.

I also hate it when no one uses signals - I'll be behind somebody who just stops in the middle of the road because they're taking a left into a driveway or something, and no signal, so you could smack right into them.

It's ridiculous what people do. One time on 93, we were driving by a guy who was reading a book!! On the highway.........no less!

Not to mention all those people who are driving either tired or stoned, or drunk!
