Can someone explain to me why MA loves Obama/Clinton so much? (Boston: crimes, employment)

For the record i didnt vote for Trump but what the hell does this state love so much about obama and clinton?

I cannot believe marty walsh is going to keep illegals here using city/state money. Not sure it will happen but that pisses me off. We need that money for boston public schools, the train, the roads, i could go on. Wtf.

They value the rights of women. The first thing the GOP does when they get into office is go after the rights of women.
They also want to keep religion out of the schools. The GOP wants no schools and if there must be schools then they must be institutions of religious indoctrination.

What are you smoking as far as sanctuary city status? It costs virtually no money. All it is is that local law enforcement is not acting as a national law enforcement arm, going after people who have undocumented status.

And the GOP never wants to spend money on infrastructure. Public transportation? They think that's for the peons and they don't matter.

First of all, it's not "illegals" but "undocumented people."

Nothing is changing except for the fact that Trump wants to start going after cities. The affirmative change is coming from the Trump administration.

So you think we spend too much money on them? I would argue they support a critical layer in our employment landscape and we would all suffer if every undocumented immigrant left today. Btw they also pay quite a bit in SS and payroll taxes and never reap the benefits like social security, welfare, etc.

And I don't know a lot of people in love with Obama, he deported record numbers of people, drone strikes across the globe, etc. He was a mainstream pro big business centrist, his only progressiveness was on some (some) social fronts.

I love this dolt Trumpf pushing for a wall to appease his idiot fans. 80% of visa violations happen with people that fly to the U.S. That wall is going to have to be mighty tall to keep out the planes.

I thought the objection to sanctuary city is based only on reporting illegal immigrants who have committed crimes?

Does the question boil down to:
"should an illegal immigrant who is convicted of DUI, theft, fraud, assault, burglary be deported"?

Its hard for me to believe a majority of people in Boston would not want to deport such criminals.
