Not a good inning from Joe. Or good management. But Kershaw's back-to-back pitches that ended in home runs to tie it in the eighth are what will be remembered by Dodgers fans. Your ace is there to close it but couldn't. That's the lasting memory.

I had really high hopes for him - he showed some flashes earlier on. But between injuries and his domestic issues, it just never panned out.

As you guys have probably heard, the Red Sox hired Chaim Bloom as their new head of baseball operations (replacing Dombrowski). It seems that he is well respected in the industry.

His name is pronounced HIGH-em.

If anyone's interested, here's the Chaim Bloom introduction / press conference from earlier today.

I haven't watched it yet.

Somebody please give this dude a job where he feels challenged and can "compete at a high level." There's got to be a transcript of him talking to the president of Ukraine or something. Enough already.
