Hello,
We currently living in Fall River, MA and looking to buy a house in a city close to the south of MA with good special ed services. My daughter has GDD, and will need some services (will be 3 in August 1st). I asked in the MA forum and some members recommended Mansfield or Sharon, if I don't want to go more north. I work in Raynham, Ma.

I am hoping I can get some parents experience on this area. We are looking in Mansfield, but there are hardly any houses that we can afford (~400k).

How bad is Norton, Easton, foxboro, wrenthem, etc.? Thanks in advance.

You need to be outside of rational Boston commuting distance to find affordable housing where $400K isn't a fixer-upper with some major issues. Mattapoisett and Marion have the best elementary schools in the South Coast but you're not going to find much for $400K. Dartmouth would be #3 on the list and is well within your price range. More socioeconomically mixed so more demand for special ed. Commuting from Fall River, you already know about the 2 lane Route 24 mess at Taunton/Raynham.

Thanks GeoffD. I heard some good reviews about Dartmouth for general ed, was not sure about Special ed.

I am not sure why the admin moved my thread back to the MA section.I wanted other parents with similar experience to help me. There are a lot of similar posts on locations there.

Most likely it was moved because you were asking about specific towns here in Massachusetts.
