hi all

we came across this forum yesterday while browsing online, me and my girlfriend (ages 26 / 27) are thinking about the big move to america over the next 1-2 years and we are really just trying to do a bit of research on the best overall places to stay.

if possible can anyone advise best places on the outskirts of boston?
we're looking for a small town for 2 young professionals? friendly and still quite lively. we dont mind the commute

Is there anywhere out there that fits the bill, somewhere that quite quant with a bit of charm would be nice - we are open to suggestions for research

thank you very much and i hope someone out there can answer

jonathan

Hope you have a job/school/sponsor lined up because you will need a visa to make the move.

It really depends on your idea of small. There are lots of small quaint towns but I'm not sure they fit the lively bill. For young professionals, you are better of staying closer to the city such as Cambridge, Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, Concord maybe Winchester.

depends on your budget too, in Boston would be great or Wellesley.
