We have been looking at properties in the general area on a fully recreational lake or pond. Any residents have insight into the quality of Monponsett, do people swim there? I have read articles regarding the recnt history (2018 and prior) of blue green algae. Does the water quality seem to be improving? It seems the town is taking some action. Whats the general buzz/impression of folks in the area about these lakes? Any insight into other fully recreational bodies of water in the general area?
It depends. If the plants are evasive it can be a pain. Hobomock has been at least 20 years of treatments.
There is the potential for more Recreation within the area but I don't think that remains a concern or at least somewhat of a priority to the towns the South Shore
