The majority in Brookline will be way more, but again, these numbers don't come from representative samples.

You hardly ever hear "I want to go to Revere but can't afford the rent". Just shocking.
I don't disagree. I'm a little surprised myself.

The so called "report" doesn't say it is taking all rental properties into account. Yeesh. It says "active listings" which is a huge difference. And more than likely, they're looking at listing on their own site (but they don't give out the methodology). These "listing" sites like Zumper or Apartments.com capture a modest amount of listings. Whatever. That doesn't seem to be sinking in.

Guess I should have looked into the detail a bit more. What a dumb report. Worse than worthless.

A running list of the cost to rent an apartment in Greater Boston
Quite frankly i dont believe it either. lots of realtors trying to leverage the casino as a selling point...Revere makes a bit more sense because of the new luxury apartments. But i can say with 99% certainty at least this much-there no way half of all apartments in revere rent for over 2300.

And if we step back most of us on this forum (and most people we seem to know off of this forum) never seem to be paying ABOVE the media rental prices we discuss.

If this were a list of new rental asking prices id be more inclined to believe it.

It IS a list of new rental asking prices, and a cherry picked one at that.

Yes. I think it's an accurate statement to say that there are high end rentals in Revere that are surprisingly expensive given that it's Revere. But on the other hand, I could see young professionals with no kids choosing to pay a premium price to live places with an ocean front view and easy access to the T
