Hartford Metro and Springfield metro both are quite rural and suburban compared to Boston metro, or even New Haven metro.

Let's be aware that only one year ago Springfield/Hartford downtown both have a "True Commuter rail" CTrail. This is not the case for Downtown Stamford/new Haven, nor Providence downtown or Boston/Cambridge urban area.
???

At least MA has such an educated population, and those strict gun laws to protect us all.
Considering 60% of guns used in crimes are from out-of-state sales (in MA), I'm not sure the point you're trying to make is particularly valid. But we've already had this conversation before and I'm not sure why I expect something to be learned this time.

Which leads me to this question: When the facts are problematic, why can't pro 2a conservatives just be intellectually honest and say "I want unrestricted access to guns regardless of the unintended consequences". It's the only position one can take with guns when the moderate middle believes licensing and accountability are painfully obvious needs.

If you're going to take a position, prepare to defend it.

What is there to defend when the offense doesn't have their game together and can't complete a pass?

Are you going to deflect my comment more or directly address my assertation that gun violence in MA is a greater reflection of poor control by other states rather than MA's own internal control?

It shouldn't be this way. Beautiful location on a main river, Boston to the east, NY to the west, back when they still had RR service, people could hop on a train and go to NYC and back for the day. Beautiful public library, still some nice buildings downtown, pleasant suburbs, superb park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. At one time it was the perfect place to live and work and shop.

I don't think it's ever going to change. It's like Hartford, they keep saying it's getting better. Maybe Hartford is getting gradually better but it's the state capitol so it should definitely be a decent place.

Springfield has some things going for it but this part of the state was hung out to dry a long time ago. A gambling casino is not a sign of improvement or a means to improvement.

Not deflecting anything. Gun violence in Springfield is the result of a failed social experiment. Debating 2a is way OT here, you clearly misunderstood the point.

I was down there one weekend, and actually pleasantly surprised at the wealth of architecture there. Despite clearly suffering poverty, dysfunction and neglect; even the ghetto areas were far more attractive than the comparable in Worcester, Providence, Fall River...I would say Boston as well. Too bad such is wasted like that...
