Yes, absolutely. It horribly hurts the prosecution of crime. Having local law enforcement enforce Federal civil violations is just insane.

Lets have the FBI start working on jaywalking issues while we're at it.

What exactly are these illegals doing for work? Anything? They obviously are getting paid under the table?

But many of those visas were fraudulently obtained, so they did not by any means "follow all laws".

Again, illegal isn't a noun. People really should learn that.

And if you've ever worked with landscaping crews, roofers, painters, in restaurants, etc you'd know undocumented immigrants work their behinds off. That's why they're here, to work.

Not all get paid under the table, and a huge number of citizens and people with valid visas DO work under the table. The shadow economy is huge.

It is a long way from having the BPD enforce immigration laws, to simply cooperating with the feds.

I agree there is a lot of misinformation spread among some communities.

NOBODY EVER PROPOSED HAVING THE LOCAL POLICE ENFORCE IMMIGRATOIN LAWS. This is getting really silly, and tiring (along with the race baiting).

Unless they obtained fraudulent social security numbers. Again, a crime.

Sure timberline they’re working so hard they didn’t even bother to take the time to be here legally.

They get so much glory for being such hard workers from certain people. They get paid sooooo much more here and get sooo much more than they would in their 3rd world countries. Am I supposed to feel bad?

Fascinating that you make the assumption that they're from 3rd world countries. Our painting crews when I was a teen/college were largely made up of Irish undocumented immigrants. I didn't know that was a 3rd world country.

You really are a right winger at heart it seems. Which generally means no empathy at all for anyone. So no, I don't expect you to feel bad at all.

They get paid more here than they do in Ireland as well for construction type work.

A girl i work with is from Ireland and has her PhD. She’s here legally. They’ve moved on from construction roles.
