Yes, I’m going to bring up the elephant in the room. (It’s inevitable.) If you’re still watching football (or at least catching highlights, scores, headlines, etc.) who will you be rooting for? Do you want Garoppolo and the 49ers to prevail, or would you rather see them lose?

I’m asking because I’m wondering about opinions. Is Garoppolo being in the Super Bowl exciting, or is it causing second thoughts on the Patriots trading him to the 49ers?

I like Mahomes as a quarterback, but I can’t see myself rooting for the Chiefs...so for me, it’s 49ers by default.

So far the Boston media isn’t making a big deal of it, but I think people will care how he performs if there’s a sense of uncertainty on how the Patriots will fare with their next quarterback... .

I like Garropolo just fine, he's my main interest in the 49ers. Have followed KC coach Andy Reid a lot longer as I grew up in the Phila area and he was with the Eagles for many years. He's a nice guy, and he's virtually always had winning teams, but he just hasn't been able to put it all together in the playoffs. I'd like to see Andy get that Superbowl win.

I canceled my CBS All Access service so I couldn’t stream the AFC game. I looked at the score a few times. I wanted Vrabel to win. I could have streamed the NFC game but didn’t bother. I wanted the 49ers to win. At least with the Providence live feed, the video quality of CBS All Access is pretty poor. Way too compressed for sports and very substandard compared to Fox Sports, ESPN, NFL, NBC Sports, Amazon, Netflix, and Disney+.

Since the Red Sox own them, I’ve been following Liverpool for a half dozen years since EPL is so much higher quality than the Revolution. In that time, Liverpool has gone from middle of the pack in Premier League to the best team on the planet. 2 hours. No commercials. NBC Sports has them just about every week.

I always watch the Superbowl. I'm not particularly excited or invested in either team. Might be nice to see Jimmy G. win. I'm not terribly upset that they traded him away based on what I've seen from him this year. He's had a few good games but the fact that his team doesn't see him as their #1 weapon in the offense makes me feel we didn't miss out on the next TB12.

My biggest wish is for it to be a competitive game. Most Superbowls (with the exception of when the Pats play in them) turn out to be blowouts. Blowouts are not much fun to watch.

I always watch. Just because my team isn’t in it doesn’t mean I’ve lost interest. I’m a fan of the game and just hope it’s a competitive close game, or some thrilling win like the Atlanta/patriots game a few years back.

I tried a premium indoor one from Amazon and sent it back. I have Comcast video as part of my Vermont condo fees so I can stream everything except CBS for free on a $25 (their half price deal) Amazon 4k FireTV stick. I suppose I could stick a big mast and high gain antenna on my roof but it’s easier to feed CBS a few months of subscription money to watch the Patriots. I got the first month free with a promotion and a 2nd free month when I cancelled that. That got me to Nov 17 so I only paid two months. In a pinch, I could stream to my phone using the Xfinity application but that’s not a good way to watch sports. With CBS All Access, the only NFL I couldn’t see were the early season NFL Network Thursday games that weren’t on Amazon Prime.

I can’t stream NESN. I can see Celtics. I don’t watch anything else with commercials.

I find those antenna's really need to be placed in a window with good line-of-sight to really work. If they are located in the middle area of a home, they don't work.

I've never had good luck with the amplified ones either. Promptly sent those back as well

Recently I bought an antenna attic mount unit and stuck it in my attic with a wire coming down the wall to my living room TV. Bought an amplifier for it, wired in a plug in the attic and got 2 channels. Messed with it for a day or so with no luck. Removed the amplifier and instantly picked up 50+ channels. Granted...most of them weren't really channels I would watch, but it covers the basics and gets football.

Most of my viewing is online streaming, but nice to get local news, debates and football
