That can change obviously.

Last I saw, there were 250 hospitalizations in MA due to covid.

PS, I was out driving around this AM (no destination just wanted to get out) and saw a lot of NY plates on the highway.

My cousin, who lives on Martha's Vineyard, says that they are in (and have been in) a stay-at-home order because of the inundation of New Yorkers flocking there for refuge. Presumably many, or all, have vacation homes there. As of a few days ago, they only had a few positive tests, but only 51 tests had been administered.

Very annoying and selfish of the people of NyC. What more do they think they can do in Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard at this point? Fools didn’t think others would have the same idea.

Well, they may also have more space in their MV homes and have yards, trails or beach access available. NYC apartments are usually pretty small, so it's going to harder to be trapped inside, especially for a family.

Avoiding the civil unrest that's bound to happen soon in NYC.

People just need to stay home. It’s at the point where going to a hiking trail is going to be off the table soon too. I told someone who is a medical professional who’s been working on all this with Boston and they said if the are is crowded even outside don’t stay. People are dying. I also just heard of a Somerville cop who is 34 and in a coma with coronavirus

They were just saying an NYPD detective died of the virus. Scary times.

Yeah I’m not sure there’s a way to really stop this. There were 3 people that died at a nursing home in revere and 2 at one in Norwood. Just sad. I’m sure they didn’t think that there way to go would be death in a nursing home in 2020 from new virus.

Approximately 700 police officers in NYC are infected. The detective was the 3rd death.
